CWST Lab at the Colvin Indoor Pool

2007-10-01 Newest OSU AROTC Cadets

New cadets are sworn in by LTC Hensley at the welcome back lab on August 22, 2007.  It has become recent tradition in the Cowboy Battalion for newly contracted cadets to swear in to oath in front of the entire battalion.  This is done to instill a sense of pride and commitment into the cadets as a result of joining a prestigious team, the United States Army.  All across the Army, new soldiers will be sworn in by an officer upon induction.  The ceremony is considered a major stepping stone in a young cadet’s life.  The Cowboy Battalion has enjoyed a recent surge in participation during recent years.  Students eager to serve in the Army have taken notice to the opportunities and quality of training available at the Oklahoma State ROTC program.
