Brian M. Disque
Master Sergeant
MSG Brian M. Disque entered the U.S. Army on 10 January of 1996 at Harrisburg, PA. He began his military career with One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia.
After completion of his initial training, MSG Disque was assigned to A Company 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. While there he served as an M-60 Machine Gunner, Scout and Team Leader. In November, 1999, he served as a Squad Leader with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In November of 2001, MSG Disque was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment as a Drill Sergeant. After completing three years as a Drill Sergeant, MSG Disque was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment , where he has served as a Platoon Sergeant in A Company and the First Sergeant of C and D Companies.
MSG Disque has served in both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom
MSG Disque’s notable awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (5 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (9 OLC), the Army Good Conduct Medal (4th awd), the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, and the NATO Medal. He has been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge and the Ranger Tab. He is a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and the Order of Saint Maurice.
MSG Disque earned an associate’s degree in General Studies from Central Texas College in 2004 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science.
MSG Disque and his wife, Andrea, have two daughters, Carolyn and Lillian.
