Michael Dale was commissioned a Second Lieutenant from Oklahoma State University in 1992 with Distinguished Military Graduate honors. Upon completion of Infantry Officer Basic Course he joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Mr. Dale was assigned to the 1-279 Infantry Battalion in Sand Springs, OK. While assigned to the 1-279 Infantry Battalion he served as an Anti-Armor Platoon Leader, Anti-Armor Company Executive Officer, Infantry Company Executive Officer, and HHC Support Platoon Leader.

 

In addition he served as Company Commander for Alpha Company, 1-279 Infantry Battalion, serving in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2000-2001 with Task Force 3-15, 3rd Infantry Division, as part of Stabilization Force 8. Upon his return he was assigned as Company Commander for Bravo Company, 1-279 Infantry Battalion, leading the company through a rotation at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Ft Polk, LA in 2002.

 

After returning from Bosnia and JRTC, Mr. Dale was assigned to the 1-179 Infantry Battalion as an Embedded Company Trainer for the Afghan National Army while deployed to Afghanistan and Task Force Phoenix during 2003-04, responsible for the training and advisement of a Afghanistan National Army Infantry Company.

 

In addition Mr. Dale has served as the S-3 for the 1-180 Cavalry Squadron while deployed to Iraq/Kuwait in 20011-12, providing support for the closure of “Operation New Dawn” in Iraq.

Upon his return from Iraq/Kuwait, Mr. Dale was assigned to Headquarters 45th Infantry Brigade where he is currently assigned in the Oklahoma Army National Guard.

 

Mr. Dale’s honors include the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, Airborne Badge and the Combat Infantry Badge.

 

Mr. Dale is married to Pamela Dale, a social worker with the Department of Human Services. They have one son, Joshua, age 10.
