Scholarships

The Army ROTC Scholarship Program provides financial assistance for the education and training of highly qualified and motivated men and women who desire to be commissioned as officers in the Army after graduation from college.

There are two kinds of Scholarships: National and On-Campus

National Army ROTC Scholarships:

High School students’ nationwide may apply for a merit based four-year National Army ROTC Scholarship to attend Oklahoma State University. National Scholarship benefits include 100% payment of student tuition and fees for each semester of their approved academic plan of study. The scholarship also provides $1,200 per academic school year for textbooks and school supplies. In addition, scholarship cadets receive a monthly allowance of $300 for freshman, $350 per month for sophomores, $450 per month for juniors and $500 per month for seniors for each month of the traditional ten-month school year. The tuition portion of the scholarship can be converted to an annual $10,000 room and board scholarship!

National Army ROTC Scholarship applications are available online at
www.armyrotc.com. Applications may be submitted as early as the spring semester of the student’s junior year of high school. The deadline for the submission of scholarship applications is 10 January of the student’s senior year!

On-Campus Scholarships opportunities:

 Army ROTC program at Oklahoma State University offers four, three, and two-year merit based scholarships annually to full time students pursuing a baccalaureate degree program at the universities main campus at Stillwater Oklahoma. Two year advanced degree scholarships are also available annually. Scholarship recipients receive the same financial benefits described for our National Scholarship recipients for the duration of their approved academic program!

The Leader Training Course:

Interested in the possibility of becoming an Army Officer but missed the first two years of ROTC at Oklahoma State University? Participation in the Army ROTC Leadership Training Course this summer provides qualified students an opportunity to receive a commission as an Army Officer in as few as four short semesters. Merit based two and a half year Army ROTC Scholarships are available to qualified LTC participants. Scholarship recipients receive the same financial benefits described for our National Scholarship recipients for the duration of their approved academic program!

You Don't have to be a 18-year old freshman to join! There are several ways to join while attending Oklahoma State University.

4-year Scholarships
• National competition for 4 year scholarships
• Full tuition and fees
• Monthly stipend for up to 10 months per school year
• Must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA

3-year Scholarships
• Available for students already enrolled at OSU
• Full tuition and fees for 3 years
• Monthly stipend for up to 10 months per school year
• Must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA

2-year Scholarships
• Available for students (graduate and undergraduate) already enrolled at OSU
• Available to students transferring to OSU from another college or university
• Full tuition and fees for 2 years
• Monthly stipend for up to 10 months per school year
• Must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA

Financial assistance is available for the freshman year through OSU

Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP): You may be a member of Army ROTC and Oklahoma National Guard or U.S. Army Reserves at the same time! (This applies to current as well as prospective soldiers & students including Graduate students! )

 

As an SMP Cadet you receive:
  • Leadership experience as an officer intern.
  • Tuition assistance for your tuition and fees (up to $4,500/yr).
  • Spending money for college (as much as $1200/mo).
  •  Freedom from deployments while a contracted ROTC student.
