Advanced Degree Students

Army ROTC Program Overview:  The primary thrust of our program is to commission the future leaders of the Army’s Active and Reserve components.  Our curriculum is designed to provide each student with the critical leader, managerial, and supporting skills required meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.  Qualified students can complete our commissioning program while pursuing any advance degree program offered at Oklahoma State University. 

The Leader Training Course:  Interested in the possibility of becoming an Army Officer but did not participate in ROTC as an undergraduate student?  Attendance at the Army ROTC Leadership Training Course the summer prior to the initiation of your advance-degree program will provide qualified students an opportunity to receive a commission as an Army Officer in as few as four short semesters.   Merit based two year Army ROTC Advanced Degree scholarships are available to qualified LTC participants.   

Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP Program):  Approximately fifty percent of the students enrolled in our ROTC Program concurrently serve in the Oklahoma National Guard or U.S. Army Reserve.  Students that have successfully completed basic Training and AIT can complete our commissioning program in as few as four semesters.  The financial benefits associated with student participation in the SMP Program can equal or exceed the benefits received by students receiving an Army two year ROTC scholarship!
